Roman Catholic Beliefs …. The Great Deception
Roman Catholic Beliefs ….. The Great Deception
Have you heard the statement “if a person hears a lie enough times they believe it as truth”? Roman Catholic Beliefs are built mainly on this premise. I am sure that this was not the intent in the beginning of the Church after Christ returned to the right hand of the Father. Almost immediately the Church took its eyes off of Jesus and followed man’s wisdom in building and running the Church. Man’s ego gets in the way of what he is trying to do. The history of the church from about 300 AD on is one of conflict for power and greed. Roman Catholic Beliefs were formed in this atmosphere. Men fought murdered, cheated, lied and compromised their personal beliefs in order to get their hands on the leadership of the Roman Catholic Church. Why? The church fathers figured out that with the support of the right belief system they could rule the world. They actually did this for about a thousand years give or take a few.
The first step was to make the truth unavailable to everyone except the leaders of the church. This they accomplished by forbidding access of the Bible in the vulgar (common language) from the people. The Bible was only allowed in Latin and you were not allowed to have one without the permission of the church, which was not easy to get. With the Bible being unavailable they had nothing to compare to what the church said.
Now the church was able to do what they wanted without being questioned. They had all the knowledge and could twist or change it to fit their own goals. They stated with the scriptures and stated that they were the only ones that could interpret it. They also said that in order to be saved you had to belong to the Roman Catholic Church. The Bible says that if you believe in Jesus as your Saviour and repent of your sins you are saved and are automatically a member of the universal, catholic, church of Jesus. Not to be confused with the Roman Catholic Church. Nowhere in the Bible are we told to join the Roman Catholic or the Lutheran or the Methodist church.
The Roman Catholic Church requires much more from you to be saved than God requires. God says in the Bible that if you believe in Jesus as your Saviour and repent of your sins you will be saved. Some of the other requirements that they have instituted in order to control you are:
- Confession to a Priest
- Attending mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation
- Doing Penance for the forgiveness of sins
- Going to purgatory ( no such place) to pay for the part of you punishment that Jesus could not pay for on the cross.
- You must accomplish good works to be saved. You have to earn your salvation.
None of these things are in the Bible and some, if not all, are blasphemy.
Talking about blasphemy I almost forgot to mention the pope. He calls himself Christ on earth and says that he has the right to change God’s Word the Bible and replace it with man’s tradition
Time and space do not allow me to go into details here. You will find a more in depth study in my book, The Catholic Church vs. the Bible.
